Hello Dear Friends!
Thank you for the prayers! I used netting over the tomatoes last week and it has resulted in quite a few ripe tomatoes with-out huge bird beak holes!! Yay!
Also, you will have more pluots, nectarines, and peaches. The peaches are absolutely at their “dead ripe” stage which I abso-lutely love! I made some peach sorbet this evening with my overripe peaches. I used eight cups of peaches and only one half cup of sugar and it was sweet enough.
We have been making salads of thinly sliced cucumber, tomato, and red onions with homemade red wine vinegar and chive oil, salt and pepper. So light and refreshing! Tonight I added some peeled and sliced peaches and it was a lovely sweet and tangy twist to any easy weekly favorite.
